Daniel Ratton Figueiredo (PESC) has been named Associate Editor of Performance Evaluation (PEVA) journal from Elsevier. The invitation was made by the journal's new Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Benny Van Houdt, from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, for a two-year mandate (renewable) that stated in January 2018.

Daniel is the only representative from Latin America in the current board of editors of PEVA (view here the current board of editors).

The journal, established in 1981, is one of the most important and renowned in the area of mathematical modeling of computational systems and performance evaluation (currently ranked as Qualis A2 in the field of Computer Science). One of the goals in the current mandate of the new Editor-in-Chief is to diversify the breadth of the journal, soliciting articles in related areas, such as Network Science and Data Science.
