The Theses and Dissertations Contest (CTD) is an annual national competition promoted by the Brazilian Society for Computing (SBC).

The 31st edition will select the best doctoral theses and master dissertations among the ones finished between January 1st and December 31st, 2017.

Prizes will be awarded for three doctoral theses and for three master dissertations during the Brazilian Society for Computing Conference (CSBC), which will be help in Natal next July.

The Program for System Engineering and Computer Science (PESC) will be represented by two current doctoral students, who will present their master dissertations, finished in 2017.

Alexsander Melo will present his master dissertation "Terminal connection with limitation of routers: complexity and relation with flows and disjoint paths".

Juan Lopes will present his master dissertation "Probabilistic data structures applied to implicit graph representation", which was done at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).
