The guestresearcher (postdoctoral fellow) at PESC (holding a FAPERJ Nota 10 scholarship), Carolina Marcelino, who works with Professor Carlos Pedreira has just been awarded the Marie Curie Fellow Award by the European Union.

It is one of the most prestigious and coveted distinctions awarded to young researchers in the world. According to the call of the Prize, they sought to support highly promising researchers. As a result of the award, it was offered a contract (not a scholarship) of € 4500 per month for 2 years plus bench funding to develop the submitted project. Carol's contract is to work in Spain. This year, the award was given to 8 researchers only, six Europeans, one Chinese and one Brazilian.

We are all very pleased and proud at PESC, Letting clear, once again, the high international level standard of those who work here.

Congratulations Carolina, let this brightness accompany you in your career.
