The Mimosa Team formed by students and professors from UFRJ came in second place in the Ideas for Milk startups challenge. Ideas for Milk is an event created by Embrapa Gado e Leite to foster innovation in the agribusiness area, more specifically in the context of Milk. The event consists of the milk caravan, vacathon and the startups challenge. The vacathon had been won in October by the same team.

The mimosa team presented UaiCup as a startups proposal, a solution consisting of a mug that analyzes milk quality and sends the data to a private cloud. The idea was well received by the community and had a lot of repercussions. The proposal was chosen from more than 50 other teams and was the best placed among the teams that amended the Vacathon with the Startups Challenge - since the first edition.

The team consists of students Gabriel Martins (doctorate / PESC), Gabriel Gazola (ECI), Amanda Ribeiro (ECI), Bruno Costa (BCMT) and Yuri Medeiros (Computer Science) and professors Claudio Miceli (NCE / PESC), Laura Bahiense (PESC), Guilherme Travassos (PESC) and researcher Bárbara Niel (CCS).

Congratulations to the team!
